Bubbles and Swimming

We took Paige to the pool this afternoon for the first time. She loved slapping the water. Claire is still very timid around the water, but there's plenty of time to warm up to it.

Eight Months Old....two days ago

Unfortunately, I was out of town on the day Paige turned 8 months old. That marked the first day of her life that I did not see her. I went to a workshop in St. Louis and was gone for two full days, but was pretty busy/tired, so didn't get a chance to be sad. Paige's biggest accomplishment this month is scooting around on her bottom. She isn't crawling quite yet, but she has the motivation and desire to get from point A to point B. She is "talking" all the time now and loves to watch her big sister do anything. Andrew and I love giving them a bath together because they can entertain each other so well.



Paige is still a great sleeper. In fact, this whole month we haven't even had to get up to put her passie back in at all. I've even laid her in her crib five or more times with her eyes wide open and she didn't make a peep when I left the room. She just fell asleep!



Claire is also getting so big. Claire's favorite phrase these days is, "Daddy, watch this." She loves to impress her Daddy. Claire is enrolled in a dance class beginning next weekend. It meets every Saturday at 10:00am for 45 min. and is half ballet and half tap. She needed a leotard, tap and ballet shoes for the class, so in a week or so, be prepared for another photo shoot. When I told her about her ballet and tap shoes, she said, "What shoes do I get for gymnastics?" Claire tried sleeping in panties without a Pull-Up for the first time two weeks ago and she hasn't had an accident yet. Yay!



I so adore these amazing girls. I always knew my mom loved me, but I didn't understand just how much until I had children. I love you Claire, Paige, and Momma!

Visiting Todd and Family/Macalester Reunion

Paige and I traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota for my 10-year college reunion. We took the opportunity to spend lots of time with Todd, Liz, Brendan and Nora. Nora is very affectionate and loved giving Paige hugs and kisses. It took a few tries to warm Paige up to the idea of such enthusiastic hugging and kissing.
