33 Weeks

Classes began on Wednesday, so my routine has changed a bit. I'm still walking Claire to daycare everyday with one of my friends and her daughter, not out of necessity, but because I enjoy it. All of the extra walking and standing that comes with teaching has really taken a toll on my feet. They are so sore by noon and only get worse throughout the day. I've decided to put myself on mini bed-rest during the weekends, so besides walking Molly I will try to keep my feet up as much as possible at least until October. At my last doctor's appointment, my doctor expressed a little concern that I might be borderline diabetic and suggested I cut out simple sugars from my diet even orange juice. I'm sorry, but I cannot go without my breakfast orange juice. I'm not really worried myself. She said everything else--weight gain, blood pressure, baby's heartbeat, etc. looked perfect. I didn't gain much at all in the last trimester with Claire, so I'm not really surprised to see a similar trend this time around.

Weekly weight gain = +0.5 lbs.
Total weight gain = +33.0 lbs.

32 Weeks

My legs have become very achy this week. I've noticed I walk a little bow-legged if I've been sitting down for a while. It's been a good week despite the new aches. We bought some living room furniture on Tuesday, so that at Christmas we don't have to sit on the hardwood floor to open presents like we did last year. I'm hoping it gets some use between now and then too.

Weekly weight change = 0.0 lbs.
Total weight change = +32.5 lbs.
Our friends Carrie and Mark had a baby boy, Declan, on August 7th. They visited for a little bit this week. It was fun holding a newborn again. You forget how small they actually start out as.

31 Weeks

I'm feeling good this week. No heart-burn. Less swelling. Paige is still practicing her acrobatics. I wonder when she'll run out of room to move so much. Until then, I do enjoy knowing she is doing well with every kick. The c-section is scheduled for October 7th, 7:30am. That means arriving at the hospital at 5:30am that morning. I don't imagine I'll be able to sleep the night before.

Weekly weight change = 0.0 lbs.
Total weight change = +32.5 lbs.

Schedule C-Section

At my doctor's appointment this morning, Paige measured 4 lbs. 2 oz. which is a week ahead. We have scheduled a c-section for Friday, October 7th, so if Paige doesn't decide to arrive earlier, we'll see her in less than 2 months!

30 Weeks

Waddle, waddle, waddle. I try to avoid it, but I just can't. My legs have been feeling sore this week and heart burn frequents me a little each day. I'm still sleeping pretty well at night though, so that's a relief for as long as it lasts. I wasn't able to weigh myself for the last two weekly posts, so my weight gain over 3 weeks (2 of which were vacation) was only 6 lbs. which I was delightfully surprised by. I'm feeling pretty good all around. I get told by almost any stranger I run into that there's no way I'll make it to October 13th. I think I agree.

Total weight change = +32.5 lbs.
