Memorial Day Photo Shoot-Take 2

I must point out that these girls wore the SAME outfits for 10 hours straight without a stain and I was finally able to get some good pictures of the two of them...and some with Daddy.

Most pictures I've taken of Claire smiling since she was about a year old have been the result of trickery and occasionally, bribery. She will tell you time and time again that she does not like to have her picture taken. It's very frustrating for me. Sometimes if I'm taking pictures of Paige, she'll want to get in on them which is one reason I have an absurd number of Paige photos--they are often bait. I was really hoping to get an adorable photo of the girls in the backyard this morning in their matching outfits, but no such luck. I tried.

Random Photos

In the photos below Claire really wanted to help me sweep the floors, but her help negated my work, so I suggested she wash the kitchen floor. It made me feel a little like Ms. Hannigan, but Claire didn't break out into "It's a Hard Knock Life."

Hanging Out with My Girls

I will never get tired of taking pictures of my girls. I wish I could capture every one of the looks that they give. Each is so special and dear to me. The picture above is a little pixelated because it was the first I took not realizing the camera was in video mode. It was the best of the girls and I tried so hard to get them to look at me that way again, but I wasn't able. Instead I did a "Print Screen" while having the video up and saved the image as a jpeg to add it to this post.

Claire wanted to be in a picture with her bears in the stroller, so I was more than happy to oblige.

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

Claire and I made the cake and frosting from scratch yesterday and had a fun time doing it. One of the layers fell apart upon removal from the pan, but it still tasted pretty good. There are only 20 candles on the cake because Andrew didn't want to open the second 20-candle package.
