We attempted our first church service with a baby today. We decided to try out the non-denominational church at the end of our block that had been recommended to us. We got dressed knowing that Claire would likely be hungry thirty minutes into the service, but it was worth a try. Well, we didn't make it through the announcements before Claire became fussy. I took her just outside the sanctuary to calm her down, but could tell that it wouldn't last. Halfway through the first hymn, we bid farewell and decided to try again next week.
