This morning we went on our first family hike. There are several trails less than three miles from our house, so we thought we'd do some exploring. The path was much steeper than we had anticipated, but manageable. We also brought lunch and had a picnic at the end of the trail on a large, flat rock (also where we changed Claire's diaper). Molly led the way and was very good about sticking to the trail and letting us catch up to her every now and then. The views were beautiful. Claire enjoyed looking around, but did spend most of the hike asleep. She did some crying on the way down and we knew she was through exploring for the day.

The hike looks like fun. Can we try one when we are there?
Claire seems to change a little each day. We can't wait to see her (and you,too).
