Yesterday was a very sad day because we attended the funeral of my Great Aunt Weesie. With my grandparents gone, my Great Aunt Helen (in the photo above) is the last of that generation in my family still living. While we mourned Weesie's passing, we were blessed with the birth of my niece, Nora Elizabeth Nahm. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 5 oz.

Claire did not mind being held by so many of my relatives. Above, my cousin, Aaron, who turned 16 earlier this week, held Claire for the first time. Claire's cousins, Alexandra and Wesley, have the "cheese" routine down very well. Claire is still working on it.

Claire nearly fell asleep in my Aunt Jane's arms.

Then, she really fell asleep on the way to the cemetery.

By the meal afterward, she had crashed.

Seeing your family is always great, even at the sad occasion of a funeral. That's when everyone pulls together, which can be very special. I am sure evryone enjoyed being with Claire and her cousins.
See you soon.
Love,
Grandpa Brian
