First Night and First Bath at Home

Paige's first night at home went about as one would expect for a newborn. She sleeps all day and is awake with eyes wide open from 9pm until 4:30am or so, and is very hungry during that time. Claire only made one noise at 6:30am, but other than that didn't make a sound until Andrew woke her up to go to daycare around 7:45am or so. Paige slept in her crib in her room and Andrew was great about getting her for feedings every 2.5 hours when she was hungry. She has been passed out for most of the day today. We're looking forward to when she can switch her times around and be awake during the day and asleep at night. The photo above is from the lamb chair that Claire loved so much as an infant. Paige resembled Claire in it this morning, so I had to take a photo.

Claire was pretty hilarious last night before bed. She took her Magna-Doodle and walked up to Andrew asking, "What would you like to eat?" After every food item he ordered, she said, "Okay" and did a little scribble, then said, "What else?" Andrew and I ordered various foods from a variety of ethnic backgrounds because Claire really enjoyed playing a waitress. I guess she has been going out-to-eat quite a bit lately.

Paige had her first bath at 318 Jackson Street and did pretty well. She was wide awake for a few minutes afterward before nursing and then passed out again. It took some time for Andrew and I to remember the process for bathing an infant, but it's coming back to us.

Love all the pictures, Mary Robert. Oh and that little lamby chair. How I miss putting my little lady in hers. :-) Glad to hear things are going pretty well. Lots of love.
